Where Freedom Awaits

Connecting families and people in need to recovery resources, community, opportunities, joy, and wellness... one step at a time.
Take your power back.
Open 9 am - 9 pm, 7 Days a Week
Our Story
Walking Free Clubhouse is a recovery-focused community space dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming environment for individuals in recovery, their families, and the wider community.
We offer sober activities, support meetings, and valuable recovery resources—all in one place. With a board of directors and backing from residents and businesses, our clubhouse offers AA, NA, SMART Recovery, NAR-Anon and other recovery-focused groups and family resources. The facility also has a kitchen that serves free breakfast from 9 am - 11 am the first Saturday of every month, a lounge area with couches, flat-screen televisions, pool tables and board games, a meditation room, and a clothing closet offering children, casual, and professional attire options. There are also computers for GED courses open to all, a shower and care packages for the homeless, and soon a re-entry program for former inmates will be offered. Together, we can heal.
Together, we can and will recover.

Testimonials
Lorie Kurrell
"We want to make a difference and do something in our community. We want this to be a safe place to hang out to play games, cards, watch TV and to create sober connections, including a meditation room. The goal is to be open seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. “We want to meet the needs in our community,” Kurrell said. “When people are getting sober they lose a lot of connections. This is a place they can feel safe and learn to have fun and live a life of sobriety.”
